This is a new Nepeta cultivar with an unusually light and bright foliage color... chartreuse. This happy color which catches the light so well sets off the plant's lavender blue flowers beautifully. While many Catmints need lots of cutting back, Chartreuse on the Loose needs little shearing in-season to maintain rounds of blooms. Try it in a front border, as deer and rabbits will steer clear from it. In the front of a mixed bed, you will also notice its fragrance, herbal and minty. This is an attractive new addition for Cottage Gardens, rock gardens, mixed beds, and borders.

  • LIVE PLANT: Plant ships at about 2-4" and achieves a good height and spread once placed in your garden
  • TAKES THE HEAT: No need to schedule time for daily watering, as this sun-loving Catmint is heat and drought tolerant; you'll love how self-sufficient this perennial is
  • LONG-BLOOMING CATMINT FLOWERS: Nepeta blooms appear in spring and continue all summer; you'll love their color and fragrance
  • CATMINT ESSENTIAL OIL, VERY FRAGRANT: Herbal like lavender and sweet like mint, Catmint has a lovely fragrance; you'll find it magical near walkways and patios
  • NOT CATNIP: Not to be confused with Catnip, Catmint is an ornamental perennial to be grown outdoors
  • LOVED BY POLLINATORS: Draws in butterflies, hummingbirds, and beneficial bees with no effort; you'll use it to create a pollinator garden
  • U.S.-GROWN: Grown in our U.S.-based greenhouse, more than 40 years in operation in northern Wisconsin; you can be confident in what you are getting
